PAST PERFECT, 2009-present
My film script "Memories of Freud" presents a "moment charnière" for Anna Freud and Dorothy Burlingham. The past in dialogue with the present and future.

My film script "4,000 Miles" reveals the love affair of my grandmother, Dorothy Tiffany Burlingham, the daughter of Louis Comfort Tiffany, and Anna Freud, Sigmund Freud's daughter. Based on my book, "The Last Tiffany" (Atheneum, 1989), it focuses on the critical years 1925-1945, in which Dorothy and Anna raise and battle for custody of Dorothy's four children; suffer rising anti-Semitism in Vienna culminating in the Nazi takeover; flee to London and face the Blitz; and meanwhile launch and redefine the new discipline of child psychoanalysis, of which Dorothy's children were among the very first patients.

"An Incidental Collector," catalog essay for " 'The Best Possible School': Anna Freud, Dorothy Tiffany Burlingham and the Hietzing School in 1920s Vienna" exhibit and international symposium. The catalog has been rated one of the top 10 psychotherapy books of 2017 by Confer's Professor Brett Kahr.
